I've been working on two more Scottie Dog embroideries.
Free vintage patterns from French Knots
Aren't these cute?
And we don't even own a dog.
For now I'm content with needle and thread.
I've been collecting vintage animal embroidery patterns to be placed in a baby quilt.
Handwork is so therapeutic.
I've especially enjoyed working on small embroidery pieces as we've traveled on road trips.
I know a lot of people can't stitch as they ride in a car, but I find it relaxing.
Fun to mix it up with a few little Lazy Daisy stitches and French Knots.

Hi Nedra,
ReplyDeleteI found you at Julia's Place, when I was checking out everyone on her blog list. You've just been added to my favorites list - I love your blog! And I just adore those scottie dogs. You don't have to have a dog to like those little guys - I think everyone does!
I love your blocks. I saw a 1930's repro fabric that had great big Scottie dogs on it that I wish I would have bought - it would have made a great backing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable! Yeah, I can't work in the car anymore. I suddenly started getting carsick about 7 years ago. Never had problems the 28 years before that! (go figure)
ReplyDeleteI love the Scottie dogs, makes me want to start doing hand work.
ReplyDeleteNedra, you are getting really good with this embroidery. Love the patterns. Enjoy.
