I love Baltimore Album quilts, and this is a magnificent example.
Appliqued and hand quilted by Carol Rich.
Carol made this for her sister's 50th birthday.
(I'm ready to ask Carol if she will adopt me)
Carol wrote that several of the block designs are from Elly Sienkiewicz, or adapted from Elly's blocks.
Carol designed many of the blocks, border, and quilting pattern.
What a treat to see this. Just wonderful. And, the family connections will make it a treasured family heirloom for generations to come.
ReplyDeleteWOW!! Lovely hand work. It is an amazing quilt--I didn't get one like that last year for my 50th...oh well.(hehehe)

Thanks for showing this gorgeous quilt! The workmanship is amazing and so are the details in the quilt. You can just see the love in this one.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful...made with love!
ReplyDeleteThe applique AND the quilting are simply spectacular! You don't see many quilts of that caliber anymore, huh? Too much machine quilting going around...... Lucky you to see it in person.
ReplyDeleteStunning indeed! What a lucky sister. Thanks for sharing!
