Something that wouldn't cost too much $$, and yet be somewhat original in ideas.
Look at these wonderful little earthy stones!
Love them. Very organic looking.
Original idea by Margaret Oomen, with a free tutorial provided by Purl Bee.
They call them Little Urchin Crochet Covered Sea Stones.
Takes me back to my childhood of being raised near the ocean, and looking for shells along the beach.
*The Purl Bee is out of New York. They are one of my favorite sites for creative new ideas. You can find them on my sidebar.
Do you think Mr. Cactus will see me as odd for crocheting rocks and placing them around the house?
He will think they are neat!! Well, as least I do!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it odd, I think that they are simply fun and unique--must make some Nedra!!

Thanks Nedra for the link to the Pearl bee blog. I knew this blog, but didn't added to the link. I love those crochet work. I have a friend who collects stones this will be a great project to make one for her - thanks so much, you are a gem - Hugs Nat
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these covered rocks!! Wish I crocheted!!
ReplyDeleteOh these are gorgeous Nedra. Unusual and different I love them xo
ReplyDeleteI have a bunch of rocks and seashells that I collected. These would be perfect for the rocks...How neat is this!

These are very cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, they definitely look like lots of fun! :) And, they could be paper weights that won't scratch the table if crocheted all the way around. So, you can say there is a very sensible use for such a fun item.
