Dixie Diva January Night Meeting

One of the nice things about the holidays being over is that we now have time to get back together with the Divas.
This month for our night meeting we met at Margaret's.
Everyone in our group could come, except for Ricci who was home sick with a cold.
Margaret's home was decorated beautifully. This quilt is from our block exchange last year.

The Christmas decorations were down, and Margaret had all of her snowmen out. (I will show you more of the snowmen in another post).

Margaret's daughter knows she loves snowmen and made her this table runner as a Christmas present.
After feasting on wonderful treats, a lot of gabbing (we Divas love to talk), and a lot of laughter (we Divas love to laugh together) it was time for Show and Tell.

Jan K. does the most beautiful handwork. Two of her wool blocks are now finished.

Pat just finished John Flynn's Feathered Sun.
We are SO EXCITED to announce Pat Peter's work has been accepted to ROAD TO CALIFORNIA!! We will be all waiting on pins and needles for next week to see if she takes home a ribbon.

Beautiful colors. Pat will hand quilt this next.

And Pat finished her folk art quilt. Pattern: Hearts and Tulips by Margaret Docherty.
Wow!

Melissa brought her finished basket from last month's get together.
And her new Vera Bradley bag that is perfect for carrying around quilt projects.

Margaret used this wonderful Jason Yenter fabric to practice learning trapunto on a longarm.

A small version of Sunshine and Shadow.
Jan K. likes to hide behind her projects.

Yes, that is Jan K. behind this cute apron she just finished out of Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

A few years ago Margaret and Bev participated in a Christmas Block exchange. This fabulous quilt was the end result.

Thanks again ladies for another very fun evening!
