Our little church sewing group doesn't meet for the summer. We got back together yesterday now that school has started and vacations are over.
We may be few in numbers, but how we've missed each other! Some of us work on quilts, others knit or crochet, and we yabber, yabber, yabber.
Ann brought the most beautiful quilt. She made this as a 50th Wedding Anniversary present for her husband Roger.
As amazing as the quilt is, I consider it an ever greater accomplishment to be married that long. Not many people can say that in today's world. Congratulations to both Roger and Ann!
The very talented Judi of Green Fairy Quilts did the quilting.
Looks like fun! Do you happen to know what pattern the Book of Mormon quilt is from? I'd love to make one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects! I want to be in your ward!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful show and tell, thanks Nedra. xo
ReplyDeleteWonderful show and tell! Happy 50th to them as well. You are right that is such an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun group. It is so good to get together. Our water aerobics group, "the Mermaids" get together about every other month and it is way fun as well. We do all that stuff...

I wish our RS had a little mid week group like this. We used to. But it kind of fell apart. However, it would probably be inhabited mostly by Flora and I and we see enough of each other at quilts I guess. Not that I have time for it but I was thinking how nice to connect with the sisters in my ward. I don't do that very well. So this would be fun. Love the quilt/blocks/scarf. Fun stuff.
ReplyDeleteNedra I swear I am going to drive the couple hundred miles down there just to have Judy do my quilting LOL!
ReplyDeleteAre the book of Mormon blocks patterns of her own design or is it a pattern I can by?
