Gifts

My neighbor and friend Amy has just had a baby boy.
I've made a quilt as a gift for little Samuel.

"Each day comes bearing it's own gifts. Untie the ribbons."
(Ruth Ann Schabacker)

"Instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give."
(George MacDonald)

"The greatest gift is a portion of thyself."
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)

The pattern comes from the book "Blessed Events" by Ginger Cookie Company
The pattern is called "Jack's Quilt"
I also made a tea towel as part of birthday present. I can't say exactly who, because it's a surprise.
The Mary Englebreit fabrics will go perfectly in her kitchen.

  1. Nedra--the baby quilt is precious. My nephew and wife are expecting their first baby within the next week or so--it will be my brother's first grandchild. I've been working the last couple of evenings on a quilt. I finished piecing the top last night and am going to have it quilted within the next few days. I will be posting a picture of it on my blog. Thanks for YOUR inspiration! Have a wonderful weekend!
