I went to visit a fellow quilter today. Catherine shared this quote with me:
"I believe that the world is just now catching on to what County Living magazine has known for decades: that environmental awareness is more than a passing fad, that a comfortable room always trumps a 'perfect' one, and that true luxury is time spent rolling out a pie crust or catching fireflies in a mason jar," or as our family knows, quilting and chasing around the country with family and friends!
So true.
I just realized that Easter is less than 3 weeks away! Time to get out the decorations. I made this rug a few years ago and I like to place it in my entry way during the Easter season.
I enjoyed hand dying the wools in pastel colors.
Did you find time today to work on something creative? It can be so therapeutic to use our hands, and in turn improve our area of the world. Whether its a quilt, a rug, or even a pie crust, take time each day to share your uniqueness and vision.
What a cute rug! Makes me think Spring. I did get to my sewing room today. I'm making an apron for my friend for her birthday. Even a little time spent there makes a good day better.
ReplyDeleteNedra, that rug is truly a work of art. Love it to pieces. You should display it with pride.

ReplyDeleteThis is so true. We tend to worry about too many things.
ReplyDeleteLove your whimsical rabbits.. I have been thinking about my wool all week.. and plan on doing some organizing ...at some point! :-D
Wow! That is an amazing rug. I really love it! I've seen some beautiful rugs at our Alpine Group. Thanks too for the hint on the walnut shells. Thimbleanna told me about those but I haven't had a chance to get to the pet store as of yet.
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute run and is perfect for Easter.

Here here. I totally echo Nedra. Love the rug. I wouldn't want people stepping on it though. Too cute. I can't wait to visit.
ReplyDeleteI love the hooked rug. And I love the quote. That's a good one. So I'll add my 'amen' to what you said as well.
