HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
It's been wonderful seeing all the Valentine's quilts out there on every one's blogs. I have never made a Valentine quilt, and after seeing all of yours, it makes me want to work on one.
In our house, I make heart shaped sugar cookies as part of our remembrance of the day of love. This tradition began when I had five small children at home, and had to work within a tight budget. Cookies were a fun way to remember each child, and still have enough to take to neighbors and friends.
Because traditions are very important, this morning I made sugar cookies for Paul and Mr. Cactus. And then ran plates over to neighbors and friends. Love is my most favorite word, and I appreciate having a day to tell those around me how much they mean to me.
ANOTHER FUN GIVE AWAY!!
My girlfriend Annie is hosting a give away over on her blog. Annie is a very talented pattern designer and quilter. I love taking classes from Annie and already am looking forward to making her lap top carrier. You have a chance to win two complete kits designed by Annie. This is a give away you will definitely want to check out! Go to http://byanniecom.blogspot.com/
