Halloween Potholders

One of the things I love about blogging is all the quilt ideas I learn from you. The other day I was perusing Material Mary's blog and she had just made these cute Halloween potholders. I have a daughter with an October birthday, and I knew these would be something she would love for her home. Mary told me about the pattern. It's from Crowhaevyn Designs called "Witches Tales". They are paper pieced and quite easy to do.

We've continued having a wonderful time with our grandson's. Last night we took them to a new park here in St. George. In January 2005 a small creek that people normally hop over became this.

A new park has been created along the banks of the river as a memorial to the damage done a few years earlier.

The river beds are now filled with plants.

The boys loved the playground equipment

Isaak said he was "making pizza".

That papa! Nobody told him the slide is for the kids.

Noah managed to grip his toes to the slide and climb up quite high.
Then today we wore them out (or was it the other way around?) playing in the pool.
Noah wanted to hold every pool toy at the same time. We couldn't pry them out of his iron tight fist. He wasn't too happy about having to wear the green hat either, but Grandma made him do it.
Happy papa. Happy boys.

Love those hot pads...you have me thinking now LOL
I remember that ragin' river that appeared and our timeshare isn't too far from the park you show.
Glad you are enjoying time with the grandchildren what a blessing to be a Grandma!

  2. Really cute potholders! Perhaps Grandpa has entered his second childhood. I think Grandkids make you act younger but feel older! So I've heard...no grandkids yet.

  3. Cute potholders, cute boys. I've not heard of Crowhaevyn, did you purchase the pattern for the potholders at your local quilt store?
