Triangles on a Roll/ Part 2

One of the things I loved the most about Sylvia Hirsch's Trunk Show using Triangles on a Roll, was the vast diversity in patterns all composed using half square triangles.

Fortunes Star

Great pattern to show focus fabrics like sunflowers and corn.

Another version of Fortunes Star.

Such a different look using batiks and mixing up the light and dark fabrics.

Sylvia said she found the inspiration for this quilt when she was up at Solitude Ski Resort in Utah.

Who would have guessed you can make trees and mountains using half square triangles?

Quarter Square Pinwheels is a free pattern on the Triangles on a Roll web site.

Precious Gems

Another wonderful way to use up scraps.

Sylvia showed us several ways that her block patterns can also be made into table runners.
Part 3 tomorrow. Pin It

Beautiful quilts. Love HSTs but dislike the paper on the roll. Too much like paper piecing, having to remove the paper from the back. So many ways to do one technique and something to satisfy everyone. :o)
